Ethelda Estelle Kellberg

Ethelda Estelle Kellberg residing at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Moreau, New York, died peacefully, on March 23, 2015 at the age of 92.  Ethelda, was born on September 19, 1922, in Georgia, the daughter of the late Lee and Alma Reynolds Arnold.

Ethelda was fondly known as “Billie” by friends and family.

Having Resided in Caton, New York since 1948, she and her husband, Howard, retired to Florida until following his death in 2005 she moved to Saratoga Springs, New York, in 2008 to be near her daughter. 

Ethelda was involved throughout her life in the P.T.A., on a local and state level; as a Girl Scout leader; and as a member and financial secretary of the Caton Methodist Church.  Along with her loving friend Peggy Smyers, she was also one of the first women volunteer firefighters in Caton, New York.  Through her years of retirement she thoroughly enjoyed traveling through all fifty states from 1995 to 2005 with her husband, Howard.  She will be dearly missed by family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lois E. Jackson (Jeff); her son Hans A. Kellberg (Rosetta); her grandchildren Kimberly Nagle (Kory), Nigel Kellberg (Beth), Lisa Jackson and Lauren Jackson; and her great-granddaughter, Rose Nagle.  She is also survived by her sister, Eva Gill; a brother-in-law, Myron Kellberg (Diane), and a sister-in-law, Sonja Eisenberg; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen J. Kellberg; and her loving husband of 57 years, Howard E. Kellberg. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Caton, New York.
